There don't seem to be enough needle lace makers in the world. So I'm hoping to increase that number by sharing this tutorial. I'd love to hear your opinions & see any needle lace you make as a result of it. I will try my best to answer any questions which come up while you are working.

This is an excellent tutorial. Thank you so much. Now I know what to do with all those spools of cotton thread I haven't used in embroidery or needlepoint projects.

I really love your lace work, I was wondering how long you have been doing it for?

Seven years since a friend gave me a book on it, that she'd had for years but never used. My output has been only the lace that you see here over all that time. A couple of the pieces have taken me more than three years to finish. It is not difficult to do, just time consuming.

It is something that I have always been interested in. Could you please let me know the name of the book?

That sounds like a story after my own. I can't stick to one thing at a time either. Currently I am wearing my fingers out with silver jewellery but I also started a quilt, of which I have completed almost 5%. There are also unfinished paintings & needle laces everywhere not to mention the costume jewellery craft fair hiding under my lovely new dining table/workbench.

Yep lol me too! I have 3 "art bins" one in Texas, on in Pennsylvania and one in Georgia. And all full of "supplies" and unfinished projects. I'm getting an art desk and some real classes for Christmas tho :)

I hope you have fun at your classes. I got a lovely new table for Christmas (I got it already because its hard to wrap & hide). It's solid oak, nice & heavy with a leg at each corner so I can't tip it over. The perfect workbench/dining table, I love it.

Thank you for this tutorial. I have tried a bit of needle lace as I have just started doing stumpwork embroidery but I would love to have a go at this.

Wow! Very detailed! Never done needle lace before. I knit a little and crochet though. I might try this!

Good. I'm hoping to see some finished products. Apparently there are very few needle lace makers in the world, so I'm hoping this tutorial will increase the number.
